William Schmitt joined ICR in 2006 and leads the gaming lodging and leisure effort at ICR. Prior to joining ICR, Bill spent 12 years as a sell-side equity analyst and five years as a buy-side analyst. Bill served as executive director and senior equity analyst following the Gaming industry at CIBC World Markets where he was responsible for building out the gaming, lodging and leisure platform consisting of 3 senior analysts and 40+ companies under coverage. Bill has followed the gaming industry for organizations including Wasserstein Perella Securities and Gerard Klauer Mattison. In 1997 he was ranked in the top-ten category among all casino and lodging research analysts in the Reuters Survey on investment banking/research firms, and in 1996, 1999 and 2001 he was named a Wall Street Journal All Star for stock picking and he has been recognized as a "homerun hitter" by Institutional Investor. Bill earned a B.A. from Hobart College and an M.B.A. from Fordham University.
