Chad Jacobs (1964-2010)

On June 11, 2010, ICR lost Chad A. Jacobs, to cancer at age 45. As one of the firm's three co-founders, Chad was a driving force behind ICR's growth and global success over the years, building the business from just five team members in 1998 to more than 100 in 2010. Chad headed the retail, footwear and apparel practice at ICR, was a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. He conceived of, and built the ICR XChange into one of the most prominent investor conferences on Wall Street, creating an unrivaled networking platform for private and public companies, private equity, sell-side analysts and institutional investors.

Chad embodied the intensely competitive spirit at ICR and built the business with friendship, camaraderie, and fun in mind. He leaves with us a wife and two children, a hundred co-workers and thousand of friends and acquaintances. He will be missed.
