Kevin has over 30 years of experience advising executive teams at innovative technology companies. He spent 10 years leading the investor relations program and serving on the senior management team at BEA Systems. During his time at BEA, Kevin was the company’s primary face to the investment community. He also helped BEA navigate their controversial and highly successful acquisition of WebLogic, shareholder activism by Carl Icahn and a hostile takeover by Oracle that resulted in $8.5 billion for BEA’s shareholders. Kevin also spent 6 years helping to scale the IR program at Nuance Communications as the company grew to $2 billion in revenue, in addition to helping to drive a meaningful increase in shareholder value at Apigee leading up to the company’s acquisition by Google.
Kevin has a passion for helping investors understand complex technology stories, and for helping companies build both an audience and a strategic investor relations program. In addition, Kevin has built an expertise in advising technology companies through equity and convertible debt issuances, business transitions, turnaround situations, M&A, shareholder activism and other challenges.
Kevin spent the first 12 years of his career as a securities, M&A and corporate lawyer at leading firms such as Wilson Sonsini Goorich & Rosati and Morrison & Foerster. He worked with technology companies on corporate formation, venture capital financing, technology licensing, M&A, public securities offerings and ongoing securities reporting.
Kevin earned a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and B.A. degrees in Economics and Political Science from Fort Hays State University.
